This week I, izzy was impacted by the love and faithfullness of God to his children. I have just finished the book Heaven is for Real. Its about a 3 year old boy who, whilst being operated on, goes to Heaven, and the event that happened in and around that time of his life. His parents gradually over months asked him questions about his experience to find him answering things about heaven that he would never have known from the bible at three years old. It blew my mind. The reoccuring theme in his answers is love. God loves us so much.
I was in our Friday night service at Bethel this weekend, Joaquin Evans was speaking, and when i say speaking, he was calling out words of knowlege and God was healing people all over the room. He got a few of the people who had been healed up on stage to tell what had happened. One man who went up was an English man called John (ive changed his name) his back had been healed. Joaquin called his daughter up on stage, who was a fellow student of ours, and prophecied over them. It was amazing. I found out later that John had become a christian that night. What a night for him. Saved and healed in one meeting. My friend, his daughter was ecstatic.
I got home from church at 11.30pm that night, church was CRAZY. SO GOOD. Holy Spirit was in a gooooooooooood mood.:)
The next day I was in the healing rooms, as i usually am on a saturday morning at 8.00am. It was an incredible time of seeing Gods hand on peoples lives. My group leader Elizabeth and our group of 4 prayed for many people who had come in for healing, from pain in the back to tumours in the brain. We prayed and prophesied over them, and saw lots of them completely healed! Thankyou Jesus. My group leader moved halfway through to do skype so i moved to another group. The man being prayed for by them happened to be John, my friends dad. So he said his back was still completely cured, no more pain. They led him into an encounter with Jesus, in which he invited Holy Spirit into his life. Then we prayed for his knees which were pretty painful, I think we prayed twice, and the pain was gone! Then we prayed for his ankles which got completely healed, then his shins, which were painful from driving for many years, they got healed, then we prayed for the most painful thing, his ingrown toe nail. This was a 10/10 in pain he said. It hurt a lot walking into the room. So we asked him to take off his shoe and sock and we commanded the pain to go. I think we pray 3 times. The pain went from a 10 to a 0! During this time God had been talking to him, telling him he was totally loved, and God told him how proud He was of him. We all hugged and John left to go and tell one of the testimony team what happened to him.
Our leader came back over 10 minutes later and said that John hadnt even noticed his toe in walking across the room. So the pain had gone so much that he forgot about it. Praise Jesus!!
That was just one testimony of many from saturday morning.
Sunday morning we were in Church at Bethel, we had Danny Silk talk about Favour. Worship was amazing, led by William Matthews. His voice is so lovely. He has an album coming out soon with his own songs on, i definately recommend it.
Today I went to my friends suprise birthday lunch which was fun, then went to the dollar cinema to see Gnomeo and Juliet, an animated film with loadsss of famous people in. It was sweet.
Liam is out with our friend Mark tonight and i am going to get on with some homework.
This year has been so amazing at Bethel and its so strange that in less than 2 months we will be back in Cheddar. We are happy to be going home but sad to be leaving, so its bittersweet really.
God Bless you all, i hope you have a wonderful week, full of the joy of the Lord and encounters with your heavenly Daddy :)
